What AI & ChatGPT Can’t Do

by | Entrepreneurship

AI is here to stay, and it’s a pretty amazing tool! I know everyone has their own opinion, but I want business owners and entrepreneurs to start out with a clear understanding of what AI can and can’t do. So let’s talk about it.

I’ve been using AI for about two years now and I love how it helps me come up with creative ideas, flesh out prompts, and overcome brain fog when I’m developing content.

You can do so much with AI whether it’s creating tables, automating systems in your business, or coming up with social media captions. Still, AI is not going to fix all the odds and ends in your business. Many people are forgetting this super simple fact when it comes to this new technology. Let’s talk about what AI can’t do.

AI Can’t Be You

It’s simple. Given all the great things AI can do, it can’t replace you or your creative mind. When it comes to your business, you can definitely use AI as a tool to help brainstorm ideas, start content, and simplify other tasks.

But then, you have to add your own personality to the end product. AI can’t replicate your unique voice, your personal experiences, and the style of expertise that sets your business a part.

When it comes to creating content with AI, I see a lot of people just copying and pasting whatever the tool puts out. Don’t do this. Trust me, the AI-generated content will not sound like you no matter what tone you tell the tool to use.

I always add my knowledge and spin on the content after AI gives me a good running start and you should do the same. Your knowledge and wisdom are truly priceless and irreplaceable.

AI Can’t Work Without You

AI can only work with inputted data. This means it requires a human element at all times. I know there’s a lot of fear surrounding AI tools right now as some people think it will replace certain jobs.

I totally understand how this is a real concern, but I still encourage everyone to try to learn how these tools work. That way, you can use them for your benefit and to level up your business services.

If we look back at history, there was always some aspect of fear whenever a new tool, method, or product was introduced. But what happened over time? We adapted by embracing these changes and using them to make us better.

Right now, a lot of people are playing around with AI and testing out what the tool can do. Some people are using AI for good while others aren’t, but you won’t know the difference if you don’t take the time to learn these tools for yourself.

One thing that’s for sure is that it won’t work effectively without a human brain behind the strategy. When I first started using AI, I remember going to a coffee shop and writing 5 blog articles in just one hour. Normally, it would have taken me several days to crank out this many blog posts, but I was able to use the prompts to get my creative juices flowing.

Operate From a Place of Strategy, Not Fear

AI can’t beat your creativity on any day or replace your authenticity and voice. However, you can use AI as a tool and master it once you think about all the things in your industry that it can help you with.

Using AI as part of your strategy will also help improve the services and products you’re able to offer through your business. When you’re going to get new clients or pursue a new opportunity, you want to be able to address AI in your industry and how you’re using it. It’s also important to be seen as being on the cutting edge and knowledgeable about these tools.

When you start to deal with AI from a place of strategy and not fear, you’ll start to see it truly work for you.

Have you started using AI in your business – how do you like it? Or are you just using it to have fun with avatars and create interesting art?
